YOUR PARTNER IN PROFITABLE FUNDRAISING RAISING MONEY HAS NEVER BEEN EASIER

HOW TO GET THE BEST RESULTS FROM YOUR FUNDRAISING DRIVE

For a truly successful fundraising drive, follow these easy steps and remember that our friendly staff are only a phone call away and are fully trained to offer any further assistance that you may require.

Set a Target and Specify What Cause the Money is Going Towards

Promote your drive in advance, let everyone know when it will be starting.

Use your newsletter, notice boards, pin up some posters and make an announcement when everyone is present.

You will get a much better response if everyone knows that the money is being raised for a specific purpose rather than for general revenue.

Award Prizes

Award prizes for the highest fundraiser or draw a lottery from those who have taken part. You may even decide to grant favours instead of prizes or use certificates.

You are only limited by your imagination.

You may qualify for free prizes from The House of Fundraising, depending on the quantity you order.

Keep Accurate Records

You should download a Tally Sheet (PDF) or Excel Spreadsheet and use these to mark in the date, the name of the seller and the number of items taken. Mark in the money returned and the number of items sold.

We suggest that you issue one carton per seller initially and at the end of the first 7-10 days, all unsold cartons should be returned to you. This way you can sort out the keen sellers and re-issue any unsold ones.

We suggest a total selling period of between 10 and 14 days.

Remind and Encourage

Send out reminder notices with say five days to go.

Throughout your drive, you should remind and encourage everyone to take part, to sell more, to reach targets and to return their money and/or cartons on time.

Have a list of your best sellers or prize winners in a prominent position, publicly thank those doing well and recognise high achievers.

Have a “Kick Off!”

Launch your fundraising drive with as much excitement as possible. Introduce some friendly competition and set personal targets.

Ask each person to sell a set amount and tell them when the cartons are due to be returned.

Use a profit thermometer to mark off your progress. Place this in a prominent position.

(Remember, we recommend that an adult be present with any minors that sell door to door).

On Completion of your Drive

Balance the money and any remaining stock.

If you do have any unsold full cartons, return these to The House of Fundraising (within 30 days of delivery to you) and they will be deducted from your account.

Tips for your SELLERS

  • State your name and the organisation you represent.

  • State the specific goal of your fundraising, eg. “I am fundraising to help purchase new computer hardware.”

  • Be familiar with the product and varieties you have available to sell.

  • Whether a sale is made or not, thank the person(s) for their time.
